From its inception about a century ago, computing has become the defining technology of our age. The study of computing is the study of the process of abstraction and its power, the practice of design and implementation, mathematical theory of computation and its implications. The CSE Department currently offers two M. Tech programmes and the Ph. D programme in addition to the B. Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering. Major strengths of the department include excellent student input, highly qualified and dedicated group of faculty, excellent supporting staff, well-placed and academically acclaimed alumni, and state-of-the-art facilities.
